OULIPOST POEM 11: Jeffrey Kennedy, the New Jersey Kennedy

Today’s prompt from the Found Poetry Review’s Oulipost Project: Univocalism!

“A univocalic text is one written with a single vowel.”

For my univocalic poem I chose the letter “e,” solely because I wanted to be able to use “New Jersey” in my poem.  I used words sourced from today’s Cranford Chronicle (via NJ.com) article, “Two Union County health clubs among 53 statewide fined for violations.”  And…I think this may be my favorite oulipost that I’ve created so far. Just based on silliness.

Jeffrey Kennedy, the New Jersey Kennedy

New Jersey’s represented by
Steve, Fred. Better get Jeffrey
Kennedy, the New Jersey Kennedy:

1-800-242-5846.

Expect better. 22
percent better.
Then, 31.

Jeffrey Kennedy, the
New Jersey Kennedy!

1-800-242-5846.

“Free New Jersey!”
“LLC!”

1-800-242-5846.

Jeffrey Kennedy, the
New Jersey Kennedy–
three terms! 40 terms!
973!

1-800-242-5846.

“They deserve Jeffrey
Kennedy, N.J. Kennedy.
They deserve $5.

Expect 10.”

Note: That number does not reach any member of the Kennedy family. But it will reach New Jersey Consumer Affairs! Score. Be sure to check out the work of my fellow Ouliposters here!
